About the Thank You Pics
Jackie wanted to convey to those serving how frequently she thinks
of them and how thankful she is for their work in securing her freedom
in enjoying life as a regular American.
She carries a camera with her and a handwritten sign that says,
“Thank You”. As she goes about daily life, she explains
to the other regular Americans she encounters that she is capturing
the faces of those that are thankful as well. The folks hold the
sign and pose for a picture. A large portion of the people are complete
strangers; fortunately shyness is not a condition from which Jackie
suffers.
Every American that she approached has said, “That is a great
thing!” and are very happy to pose. Many people say, “I
look awful in photos.” But they are glad to contribute to
the cause and express their gratitude.
As you look through the faces and peek into the lives of all these
regular Americans, please know we all are saying thank you, so much,
for your sacrifices and hard work to secure our way of life and
the freedoms we enjoy in the United States. |
